OPERATOR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A doctor’s statement for a recent physical examination. (Applicable to cab operated cranes only.)
  • Complete a Crane Institute of America Overhead Crane Safety & Inspector training program.
  • Pass a written examination.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years operating experience.

INSPECTOR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete a Crane Institute of America Overhead Crane Safety & Inspector training program.
  • Pass a written examination.
  • Have 3 years experience working in a capacity of operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, safety or supervision with overhead cranes.

A trainee certification is available for personnel who do not meet operator/inspector experience requirements.
