OPERATOR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Pass a physical examination. A CDL physical is acceptable.
  • Complete a Crane Institute of America Tower Crane Operator & Inspector training program.
  • Pass a written examination.
  • Pass a practical examination if possessing less than 2 years
    operating experience.

INSPECTOR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete a Crane Institute of America Tower Crane Operator
    & Inspector training program.
  • Pass a written examination.
  • Have 3 years experience working in a capacity of operation,
    maintenance, repair, inspection, safety or supervision of
    tower cranes.

A trainee certification is available for personnel who do
not meet operator/inspector experience requirements.
