Crane Institute of America offers optional service-related SMS/text notifications for students, customers, and account holders.
Messages may include course notices, certification updates, recertification reminders, credential expiration reminders, renewal notices, registration updates, account notices, and related service updates.
Users opt in through Crane Institute of America’s Arlo online registration and checkout process. During checkout, users enter their mobile phone number and are shown an optional, unchecked SMS/Text Message Consent section before order submission.
The SMS/Text Message Consent section states:
“Please choose whether you would like to receive service-related SMS/text notifications from Crane Institute of America about your courses, certification, recertification, expiration reminders, renewal notices, registration updates, account notices, and related service updates.”
The checkbox states:
“I agree to receive service-related SMS/text notifications from Crane Institute of America regarding courses, certification, recertification, credential expiration reminders, renewal notices, registration updates, account notices, and related service updates. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional and is not required to complete registration or purchase.”
Users who do not check the SMS consent box can still complete registration or purchase. SMS consent is not used for unrelated marketing.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and text messaging consent are not shared, sold, rented, transferred, or disclosed to third parties, affiliates, marketing partners, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.
